The absence of Yca1 attenuates the apoptotic phenotypes of lsm4 mutants. (A) Wild‐type (WT), yca1Δ, Kllsm4Δ1 and Klsm4Δ1/yca1Δ cells were analysed for nuclear fragmentation (4,6‐diamidino‐2‐phenylindole (DAPI) staining), DNA strand breaks (dark cells in TdT‐mediated dUTP nick end labelling test) and reactive oxygen species production (bright cells after dihydrorhodamine 123 (DHR) staining).
