2 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 2 What windows to use The Trading Manager is the main tool for exchange trading The Order sheet in the Trading Manager provides a view of market prices and provides a convenient platform from which to send orders The Explorer can be used to find the Order Books in which you want to trade

3 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 3 Setting up the Workspace Select Trading>Trading Manager from the Session Manager Select Insert>Order Book sheet from the Trading Manager Tip: You can rename the sheet's tab by double-clicking on it

4 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 4 Setting up the Workspace Select Tools>Marketplaces from the Trading Manager The 'Marketplaces' dialog allows you to connect and disconnect from markets Right-click on a market you would like to trade on, and select 'Connect' Tip: Connected markets are indicated by a green "traffic light

5 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 5 Setting up the Workspace Select Data>Explorer from the Session Manager In the Explorer, on the 'Business Objects' tab, open the Order Books folder Click the market you would like to trade on (the corresponding market segments are displayed in the right-hand pane)

6 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 6 Setting up the Workspace Drag-and-drop a market segment from the Explorer to the empty Order Book sheet in the Trading Manager Tip: You can also drag individual Order Books by opening the market segment folder

7 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 7 Setting up the Workspace Your Order Book sheet is now "populated" with the Order Books from your chosen segment The default columns for the sheet display live market prices and quantities Best Bid price in the market Quantity at the best Bid price in the market The default view displays one Order Book on each row Tip: If you want to remove one or more rows, select them (by clicking the row header) and then right-click>Remove Row

8 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 8 Setting up the Workspace Additional data about each Order Book can be displayed in the sheet by adding more columns Right-click on the column header and select 'View Columns' Select new columns from the Column Selector dialog, then click OK. "Check" to add new column Short description displayed here (when column is selected)

9 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 9 Sending an order to the exchange Select a cell in the Trading Manager Use the ARROW keys to navigate to the row of the Order Book in which you would like to place an order (any cell on the row will do) Press F2 (to define a BUY order, ready to send to market) Tip: The F4 key can be used to define a Sell order

10 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 10 Sending an order to the exchange Once the order has been defined you can edit the order details in the Order Entry window if necessary Click Buy (or Sell) to send the order to the exchange Your order will appear "in the market" on the Order Book sheet highlighted in either green (buy order) or red (sell order) Your own order highlighted in sharp green (or red) Other orders from within your organisation highlighted in a lighter shade Click here to expand/collapse market depth

11 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 11 Managing your orders The Trading Manager also provides support for order management – this is done using an Order sheet The Order sheet can display all (or a sub-set of) orders created within your organsiation You can choose to work with a sub-set of these orders by creating an 'Order Filter' which selects orders based on a set of criteria e.g Trader=JohnS, and TradeTime=Today

12 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 12 Managing your orders Create an Order sheet ('Insert>Order sheet' from Trading Manager) Create an Order Filter for the Order sheet so only orders you have created today will be displayed –Select 'View>Filter' –'Trader' tab, only your name in the 'Selected Traders' pane –'Time' tab, select 'Today' –Click 'OK'

13 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 13 Managing your orders Each row in the Order Book sheet displays a single order The status of the Order is displayed in the 'Status' column Gray indicates a fully completed order (i.e. trade has been made) Green or red indicate an active Buy or Sell order (respectively) on the market

14 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 14 Managing your orders Order prices and quantities can be updated directly in the sheet Edit an order quantity or price (then press return) and the cell turns yellow Right-click on the order and select 'Accept changes' to send the order update to market Tip: If you would like to skip the "Accept Changes" step then select 'Tools>Options', then 'Order Changes To Market'

15 F R O N T A R E N A FCA2303-1A / 15 Managing your orders In some cases you may want to create (but not send) orders – this means they are defined in FRONT ARENA ready to send when the trader decides Right-click on a row in the Order sheet, and select Create Inactive Fill Order Order appears in Order sheet with status 'Inactive' Tip: Yellow background indicates Inactive orders Tip: Orange shading indicates that the order will be fully matched if sent to the market
