Easiest way… exceed last year’s sales! Units that exceed last years sales get $0.45 (potentially $0.50) cents of every dollar above last years sales So … $500 in increased sales could pay for $250 in gift certificates or incentive prizes. 3 additional scouts selling can pay for $500 in unit incentives

37 2013 One Sale – High 3 - Commission Structure
Commissions – Continue to use the One Sale concept for 2013 Units will have the totals of their D2D, PROPORTIONAL S&S and OnLine Sales combined for commission calculations. The key difference is: Council will use the High 3 (highest combined sales for the past three years ( ) as the baseline for the 2013 commissions). One Sale – High 3 achieves three significant goals: First, it will even out the roller coaster affect that some units undergo year to year (high sales and low sales) to allow them to manage their sales better. Secondly, as the “last payee” – High Three helps balance out the Council end of year budget execution. Finally, Council includes the Unit’s On Line Sales (01 August through 17 Oct 2013) into the One Sale totals to enhance the commissions to the units.

38 One Sale – High 3 Examples
Unit 123 – Sales for last three years: D2D S&S On Line One-Sale Total 2010 $10,000 $1, $ $11,500 2011 $ 9,000 $3, $ $12,500 2012 $ 8,000 $2, $1, $11,000 Unit 123’s High 3 was 2011 with a One Sales total of $12,500 – All commission computations for 2013 will be based on the 2011 $12,500 High 3 figure. Scenario 1 – Unit 123 total sales in 2013 were equal to or less than “High 3—One Sale” Base Line. D2D S&S On Line One-Sale Total $10, $0 $1, $11,500 Base Commission – 33% applies to any sales Unit 123 Total 2013 Commission – 33% of $11,500 = $3,795

39 One Sale – High 3 Examples (cont)
Scenario 2 – Unit 123’s total sales in 2013 were greater than 101% but less than 125% of “High 3—One Sale” Base Line D2D S&S On Line One-Sale Total 2013 $12,000 $2,000 $1, $15,000 101% - 125% OVER AND ABOVE “High 3—One Sale” - Base Commission + 45% Commission on that portion over and above “High 3—One Sale” Base Line ($12,500). Base Commission – 33% - applies to first $12,500 = $4,125 45% Bonus Commission Applies to amount above $12,500 OR $2,500 X 45% = $1,125 Unit 123 Total 2013 Commission $5,250

40 One Sale – High 3 Examples (Cont)
Scenario 3 – Unit 123’s total sales in 2013 were greater than 125% of “High 3—One Sale” Base Line D2D S&S On Line One-Sale Total 2013 $13,500 $3,000 $1, $17,500 Greater than 125% OVER AND ABOVE “High 3—One Sale” - Base Commission + 50% Commission on that portion over and above “High 3—One Sale” Base Line ($12,500). Base Commission – 33% - applies to first $12,500 = $4,125 50% Bonus Commission Applies to amount above $12,500 OR $5,000 X 50% = $2,500 Unit 123 Total 2012 Commission = $6,625 Want as easier way to figure it out?
