ADULT DOGWOOD DIPLOMA: The ADULT DOGWOOD DIPLOMA: - Also students who have already graduated in their home country have the option of using ICES at BCIT (International Credential Evaluation Service)International Credential Evaluation Service - Students can use 2 courses completed in High School as part of the 5 courses -Students can get credit for Previous Learning (PLA) (For computer skills, or work experience) - Students who have already graduated in their home country can get credit for a language course: Russian 12, Mandarin 12, Punjabi 12, Farsi 12, etc Click to continue
80 Credit The 80 Credit : Graduation: 1 grade 11 exam (SS or Civics) 3 grade 10 exams (Ma, Sc, En) For students born 1989 or later Must complete 20 courses Must write 5 Provincial exams 1 grade 12 exam (En or Com) Click to continue
GED Grade 12 Equivalency Must pass all tests in 3 years Can write a maximum of twice a year For students aged 19 and older $60 Fee to write all 5 tests ($40 for one test) Pay the Ministry of Education by credit card Write 5 tests: Language, Literature, Socials, Science, Math Click to continue Not recommended if planning to attend Post Secondary Schooling. Good for employment.
Tuition is FREE* for BC residents who are Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, Refugees, or have a work permit (1 year or more), and who have a plan for graduation. *Effective May, 2012 BC graduates may have to pay tuition, depending on the course. Eng 11 & 12, Com 11 & 12, Biol 11 & 12, Math 11 & 12, Physics 11 & 12, Chemistry 11 & 12 and all Adult Foundation courses will be FREE.
