1 Welcome to 3rd Grade Mrs. Coffaro 2017-18

2 Statement of Purpose: Why I Teach
I believe all children can learn and deserve the best education. I believe I can provide an environment that promotes fairness and respect, where students feel safe. I believe that as a teacher, it is my responsibility to teach and promote social development and group responsibility. I believe as a teacher, it is important to model the love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

3 Please communicate any issues your student shares with you to me to insure a positive learning environment for your child. We are learning to respect each other as individuals and encouraging everyone to be their best. Instead of telling me every time there is a problem, and as a way to promote problem solving, I encourage students to talk about their problem and try to solve it themselves using an “I” message: "I feel _____ when you_______ so could you please ________."
