AIMS OF THE COURSE:
To improve coherence in writing for academic purposes – mainly essays
To go beyond sentence-level grammar and look at the structure of paragraphs, texts, connecting ideas in the text, introductions and conclusions, etc.
Although focus will be on writing, oral interaction is expected of students and discussion activities will be included
