ClassDojo Behavior Management System

2 What is ClassDojo? Parents,
ClassDojo is the behavior management system that IAE has chasen to use schoolwide! It is a point-based system that both gives and takes away points based on student behavior throughout the day. The system is an app, and allows you as parents access to your child’s progress and behavior throughout the day. The access code for our class is located on the attached sheet in your child’s green Go Home folder. (The access code for students is not necessary at their age level. Please disregard. This code is meant for students in middle school.)

3 Message the Teacher! The ClassDojo app is an excellent tool to utilize for communication with the teacher! You can message me through the app at any point during the day, and I will check messages frequently during my lunch and prep time. Another excellent way to reach me is through , which I also check frequently! My is: Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. If you feel that a longer conversation is necessary, I will be open for conferences as needed. Thanks, Mrs. Konkle

4 Dojo UP! And Dojo Down :( When students are following the directions, listening to the teacher, giving extra effort during work periods, and being a leader, they have the opportunity to receive Dojo points from the teacher or other staff members. When students are off task, disrespectful, not keeping hands to themselves, or are required to move to the Reflection Zone or the Buddy Room, they will have points taken away from them. Their points will accumulate throughout the day. Each time a student reaches a “mile marker” (receives a specified amount of points) they will receive a prize! Students must work hard to earn their points!

5 “Mile Markers” and Rewards
20 points is a “MIle Marker” and students will have the opportunity to choose a prize from our Treasure Chest. 100 points is the Grand Prize! Students who reach 100 points will be allowed to have an extra special lunch with the teachers :) Remember, students have many opportunities to be rewarded with Dojo points during the day! They can receive points in the classroom, on the playground, at lunch, and even in specials!!
