1 Case 7.4 (1-8) A 50-year-old woman complaining about increasing overjet and gingival impingement. The right lower second premolar had been extracted and the left side showed significant crowding, and a scissor-bite in the left premolar region that had increased with the deepening of the bite. (9) Visualization of the treatment goal. (10-15) The first phase of treatment was to perform a sagittal expansion between canine and molars in the lower arch. (16-19) To the × inch TMA (titanium-molybdenum alloy) utility shape segment in the left side, a inch TMA extension was welded. This extension was activated to move 34 bucally when space had been generated. At this stage the mandibular structural position was found by adding ‘onlays’ on the first molars. In the upper arch an intrusion and retraction were done using two cantilevers. During the movement the spacing of the upper front was solved. (20-27) Status at the end of treatment. After the orthodontic treatment a bridge had replaced the missing right lower premolar.
