As Vonigo’s customer base has grown, so have demands for greater scalability, redundancy and security. It hit a point where those demands outstripped Vonigo's ability to provide those capabilities cost-effectively in the self- managed datacenter model. As a startup, Vonigo wanted to focus all of its resources on improving product quality and functionality, and it found that managing its infrastructure was taking away from that.

Vonigo found Microsoft Azure met its needs for scalability, reliability and elasticity of resources. It allowed Vonigo to scale as its customer base scaled and incrementally increase capacity as needed. Vonigo also found it was the best fit for its agile methodology in which it does frequent releases with Visual Studio .NET. Vonigo is now experiencing hyper-growth, onboarding new customers every week. It primarily relies on Azure VMs to scale its business, but it has also implemented Azure High-Performance Computing, Azure Storage, Azure Backup, Azure Security Services, Azure Cloud Services, Azure Virtual Networks and Microsoft SQL Server. On the development and test side, Vonigo leverages Microsoft Visual Studio and HockeyApp for mobile testing.
