We don’t need you to help us with our retail skills – we know retail. Where we struggle is with Leadership and Management skills. We will be spending the bulk of our £11 million levy on Leadership and Management The Levy has come in but we’re not ready to get started yet We know that the qualification isn’t funded within the levy, but it is key to us to ensure quality of delivery, and most importantly to get our employees (some of which have been with the company for many years) to buy into Management Apprenticeships We will be spending the vast majority of our levy on existing staff rather than trying to attract new Apprentices into the organisation

12 On Programme Assessment
Development of a portfolio demonstrating learning and development activities with their application in the workplace. Work based project(s) Case studies Reflections CPD activities – including coaching and mentoring Successful completion of management qualification or equivalent knowledge building activity (if used)

13 Qualification Assessment -
The assessment for the qualifications has been developed to prepare learners for the End-Point Assessment specified in the Trailblazer assessment plan. Unit type Assessment type Assessment method Description Knowledge (Leading People, Managing People, Communication) External Onscreen knowledge tests Set and assessed by ILM (Project Management, Operations Management, Finance) Internal Portfolio of evidence Centre sets and assesses each unit using the method specified Skills Combined Portfolio of evidence and Professional Discussions To achieve a pass for the qualification, the learner must pass all units. The qualifications are not graded. (Pass/Refer).

EPA registration EPA readiness form Enrol apprentices who have passed gateway Allocation of independent assessor EPA Results Issued Outcome announced If pass certificate is issued by Institute for Apprenticeships If fail apprentice can resist relevant components EPA takes place Apprentices sit tests Submit portfolio  Interview & professional discussion take place Maia How long would the process take 2-3 months We will look to provide indicating assessment plans with guidance to support our customers on how these will be delivered There is an order that we would suggest in which these would be taken: Sit test, Submit portfolio  Submit project Interview professional discussion take place always at the end of the process The apprentices will need to pass each component and will be able to resit each one
