1. Important Things to Remember at Camp
This is my first time at a Guide Camp and everything is new.
I will spend time with girls from my unit and I will meet new girls from other units.
My leaders will be there to help me. I will also meet new leaders from other units. They can help me too.
I will be part of a patrol and we will all need to do duties to make sure the camp site is kept tidy. I will need to do duties and help when I am asked.
Everyone at the camp will be part of the Hogwarts School of Magic. We will all be pretending. The leaders will have different names and some of the games will have different names.
I can always ask my leaders if I have any questions at the camp.

2. Important Things to Remember at Camp
There may have to be changes made to the menu. The camp cook makes these decisions. It depends on the food available in the kitchen.
There may have to be changes to the games. This may be due to the weather. The right equipment may not be available. There may not be enough time to fit everything in the weekend.
My leaders will try and let me know if there is going to be a change. Sometimes they may be very busy organising activities and they may not have time to see me. That will be ok. I will need to accept the changes and participate in the activities with my friends.

3. Shower Time 1. Undress in your room. 2. Wrap yourself in a towel.
3. Put shower cap over your hair.
4. Bring soap and washer to shower.
Have a quick shower for
3 minutes only.
Dry yourself and wrap yourself
in your towel.
Return to room and get dressed.
I do not wash my hair at camp.

Set the table.
Clear the table.
Wipe the table.
Sweep the floor.
Duties in the Bathroom
Clean the toilet.
Wipe the basin.
Mop the floor.

5. Duties in the Dormitory
Make your bed.
Air your bed.
Vacuum the floor.
Keep your belongings
and room tidy.
Each patrol will take turns doing the duties.
There will be a roster.
I will help my patrol do their duties.
I must wear gloves when cleaning the toilet.

The camp cook has already done the shopping and
all the food is in the camp kitchen.
I can only choose from what is on the camp menu.
If I am offered food or drink I do not like, I will
say “no thank-you very much”.
I need to remember that some food I eat at
home may not taste or look exactly the same at
camp. That is ok. It may taste better.
