3. Project Proposal
Choose a topic based on Academy interests and career goals. Contact your assigned faculty member and begin scheduling meeting dates. Contact a community member and set up a job shadowing or volunteer experience. Complete the project proposal form and turn it in. All areas must be completed for credit.

4. Advisor Meeting and Job Shadow and Volunteer Log
Use to document your meetings with your advisor and job shadowing or community service hours
Must be signed by advisor and supervisor
4 hours of job shadowing or community service is required

5. Artifacts Required to obtain 6-10 artifacts while volunteering
3 of the artifacts must be photographs
At location, with mentor, etc.
Other artifacts can be pamphlets, flyers, or a business card

6. Artifacts
Document your job shadowing/volunteer activity using photographs and items from your experience in your presentation.

7. Research Paper Source Selection Note Cards Outline Rough Draft

9. Presentation
You will create a presentation for your class and a panel of judges
The presentation is to be 6 to 8 minutes in length
You may include 2 minutes of video into your speech; however, you must speak for a minimum of 5 minutes.
The main purpose of the presentation is to inform your audience on what you have learned about your topic.

11. Required Assignments
Resume – List of your accomplishments and work/volunteer experiences
Project Proposal – Lists your topic, advisor, and mentor

Research Paper – Clean copy of your final paper
Job Shadowing/Volunteering Log
Advisor Meeting Log
Letter to the Judges/Brochure– Introduce yourself and briefly preview your project
Artifacts – Visual display of your job shadowing or volunteering activity
Reflection – 1 page/250 word statement of your experiences and learning stretch

12. Senior Project Meet with a faculty advisor and a community member
Job shadow or volunteer for at least 4 hours
Become the expert on your topic
Give a professional presentation to a panel of judges
Practice real-world skills
Gain valuable experience during job shadowing or volunteering activity
Get feedback from community members
Feel a sense of pride and accomplishment
