1 Fundamentals of the Faith Lesson 16 - Immorality
Leviticus 19:1-2

2 God’s people are called to be Holy
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy. Leviticus 19:1-2

3 Holy in all your conduct
but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 1 Peter 1:15

4 A battle every person must win.
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

5 A battle every person must win.
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

6 The Bible defines what is moral
O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. Jeremiah 10:23

7 The Bible defines what is moral
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

8 The Bible defines what is moral
12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12

9 The Bible defines what is moral
But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men. Acts 5:29

10 Spiritual Consequences of Immorality.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

11 Spiritual Consequences of Immorality.
A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1

12 Spiritual Consequences of Immorality.
Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. 3 When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day long. 4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was turned into the drought of summer Psalm 32:1-4

13 Lessons for us today. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts. Proverbs 21:2

14 Lessons for us today. A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment. 2 A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart. Proverbs 18:1-2

15 Conclusion 1. Those pleasing to God stand upon God’s moral standards.
2. Let us teach others to do the same, guiding them in God’s morals using His Word.

16 Conclusion Man needs to hear the gospel and not the desires of his own heart. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

17 Conclusion Man must not believe in his own selfish and wicked ways, but in Christ as the Son of God. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” John 8:24

18 Conclusion Man must repent of his sinful & wicked ways to please God, man can never please the world. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:4-5

19 Conclusion When man confesses that Christ is the Son of God, we also confess He is the only way to Eternal life. Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; John 12:42

20 Conclusion The act of baptism is the only act that washes away the spots that sins leaves on man. And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’ Acts 22:16

21 Conclusion We man continues in life as a faithful servant of God. He guarantees himself that he will see God.

22 Conclusion Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelation 2:10
