5. Overview Keep it simple, keep it clear
Basic scorekeeping is same regardless of age
Some age groups require more data in regards to pitching

Short Stop is #6

15. Batting in Rotation What is batting in rotation?
All Batters bat in order
Batting line up does NOT change
Injured/absent players skipped over
Do NOT COUNT as an OUT
After three outs or five runs teams ½ inning over
except Bronco & Pony BASEBALL ONLY.
ALL Softball divisions as well

16. Scorebook sheet for batting in Rotation
Players are entered in scorebook in the order they are going to BAT
Once game starts, lineup cannot be changed
Positions are not important except for pitching
If a player is a no show, simply right absent in his slot
If a player gets sick or injured, note when his bat comes up
Simply draw a line through square

Roster numbers entered
Fielding positions other than pitcher not important
This batting line-up cannot change
Coaches can free sub positions on the field (pitcher rules apply)

We use this when tournaments come around for Mustang & above

20. Substitutes go in the game
Mason goes in game as sub for Tommie in bottom of 3rd inning
Chase goes in game as sub for Nick in bottom of 3rd inning
Matt goes in game as sub for Tyler in top of 5th inning

21. Starters returns to game
Tommie, a STARTER, returns to the game in the top of the 5th inning in the SAME batting position he was originally in, fielding position not important unless pitching
Nick, a STARTER, returns to the game in the top of the 5th inning in the SAME batting position he was originally in, field position not important unless pitching.
Tyler, a STARTER, returns to the game in the bottom of the 7th inning in the SAME batting position he was originally in, field position not important unless pitching

Games can end in a tie.
No new inning can start after 1hr 40 in older age groups
