Criteria for indicators Relate to the relevant proposals for action from the Programme Allow for short-term pragmatic use of existing data so as not to place additional data compilation burdens on Member States Are precise, timely, comprehensive and comparable within countries Reflect the current key aspects of youth participation and development

Expert Group Meeting Outcomes Concluded with a list of 34 core and 15 supplemental indicators in the following priority areas: – Education – Employment – Hunger and poverty – Health, including reproductive health – Drug abuse and juvenile delinquency – Globalization – Information and communication technology – HIV/AIDS – Girls and young women
