10. Conclusion The fleet manager module is not associated with any hardware or data from GPS trackers. Therefore it is open to use for any type of vehicle or equipment. The software is designed on the simple principle that vehicles have certain maintenance tasks, those tasks need to be defined, scheduled and executed. Consumption of fuel and oil and monitoring of odometer is required for alerts and scheduling. The resultant data can then be analysed to find fuel pilferage, reduce vehicle operating costs and increase the efficiency of the fleet. In the future, Fleet Manager will be integrated directly with data from the vehicle ECU. Currently the data quality and reliability of this data is not good enough to generate correct reports and alerts.
