2 Being bi-racial means that a person is more then one race. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BI- RACIAL?

3 According to the Washington post, the number of biracial babies has increased over the last ten years. In 2009, 7 percent of 3.5 million babies were born with more than one race. HISTORY OF BI-RACIAL CHILDREN

4 Parents should talk to their children about racism and stereotypes in the movies and books that they read. STEREOTYPES AND RACISM

6 If schools and parents continue to work together, more goals can be reached. Parents need to read to their children at home and let their children read to them no matter what language they speak. PARENTS AND TEACHERS

7 . In my community the first place I would start would be The Partnership for Children. COMMUNITY RESOURCES

8 I would ask each child what special things do they do in their culture. Is there anything special that you celebrate in your culture that others may not? WHAT KIND OF LESSON WOULD YOU TEACH?

9 What special holidays do you celebrate? What holidays do you not celebrate? HOLIDAYS

10 I would get those students who could not speck for good English in an ESL program. LANGUAGES

11 I would make sure the classroom is DAP for all children. I would make sure that there is something from every race and culture in the classroom. THE CLASSROOM

12 As a way for children to express themselves orally, I would get a picture book so the kids could tell the story. I would also use puppets or have the children to act out the story. I would make it as fun for them while they express themselves OTHER WAYS TO HELP NON-ENGLISH SPECKING STUDENTS

13 As teachers we should make sure the classroom promotes positive attitudes toward diversity and welcome every child in. DECORATIONS IN THE CLASS

14 I would allow times for the students to bring in things that are important and tell about them. Allow the children to tell something that they think others may find interesting about their culture/ SHOW AND TELL
