2 Water Level Corrections Water Level Corrections Water Level Above Chart Datum = Negative Tide Correction! In Depth Mode:  Chart Sounding =  Measured Sounding  + Tide Correction  + Draft Correction  + Other Corrections.  The height of the water level relative to the chart datum is called the ‘Tide Correction’ or ‘Water Level’ Correction. (Same thing)  Positive if the Water Level is below the Chart Datum.  Negative if the Water Level is above the chart datum (normal). Water Level Chart Datum Bottom Chart Sounding

3 Real Time Water Level Correction Methods MethodComment Manual Entry in SURVEY For use in a local area Enter TID record at the start of each line and any change. Read an automated Gauge Logs TID record every time the gauge updates, using a Tide Telemetry driver. Read a Predicted Tide File in SURVEY Logs a predicted TID record using the TIDEFILE2.DLL or TIDEDR.DLL device drivers. RTK Tides Has it’s own presentation. These are just the real time options. We’ll see 8 more options for water levels when it comes to post-processing.

4 Setting the Tide Level in SURVEY Click ‘Tide – Set’ menu item in SURVEY. Enter your correction value. SURVEY: Writes the tide change to your RAW data file. AVI
