12 Put yourself in someone’s shoes Understand other person’s point of view Empathy? You understand the other person’s needs and help to give it to them. Empathy is not necessarily about doing precisely what the other person wants.

13 Find an end user Find someone who can be your end user. Partner, Colleague, Family Choose someone who will support you! You can use our community page (free) or Forum (members) to ask someone to be your end user Want to do it yourself? Split Personality Think like an end user (critique)

14 End User Treatment Make them feel comfortable (they are helping you). Focus on their needs and goals they want to achieve. Give them time to think about it or guide them. If there is a challenge, improve the process. Ask for feedback in a constructive way (survey etc.)

15 Requirements Gathering Template Create a word document template that will help: Understand the objective Ensure approach is “fit for purpose” (alternatives) Do accurate estimations Avoid misunderstandings Communicate clearly (phases) Ensure high quality of the deliverables Manage satisfaction Make it easy for end users, testers and developers Understand “go live” conditions

Time Tracking Time per day (Last 7 days), Time by Activity, Actual vs Targets (Daily, Weekly etc.), Time by Application (RescueTime) Your own data Think about something that would be truly valuable to make a decision or trigger a decision (monitoring).
