4 Our Story: 1980s ATLANTA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FOUNDED in response to housing needs. 198319841988 Jimmy Carter Work Project comes to Atlanta: 1,200 20 HOMES help build 5 VOLUNTEERS 1989 >3,000 VOLUNTEER DAYS recorded in 1989 alone. Wallace family moves into first Atlanta Habitat home. $12K TOTAL COST FOR MOVE-IN READY HOME in DAYS

5 Our Story: 1990s 1991 1997 100 NEW HOMES built for those impacted by Olympic-related construction. 1999 100 TH ATLANTA HABITAT HOME BUILT 1995 1996 1994 200 TH ATLANTA HABITAT HOME BUILT in advance of the 1996 Summer Olympics. Atlanta Habitat becomes first U.S. affiliate to reach 500 TH HOME MILESTONE Mt. Zion becomes Atlanta Habitat’s FIRST PLANNED COMMUNITY, providing homes to ~50 families.

BILLS Atlanta Habitat commits to building EarthCraft houses to promote sustainable practices and UTILITY Atlanta Habitat named NON-PROFIT BUILDER OF THE YEAR $2M Atlanta Habitat exceeds capital fundraising goal by

7 Our Story: 2010 – Present 20102016 - future20142011 $12M capital campaign launched. 20122013 Atlanta Habitat breaks ground on its first NON-PROFIT / FOR-PROFIT COMMUNITY SOUTH FULTON Atlanta Habitat acquires affiliate. 30 YEARS Atlanta Habitat celebrates having provided homes to 5K INDIVIDUALS Atlanta Habitat reaches capital campaign goal and opens new HQ, FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER & R E STORE. Atlanta Habitat implements its STRATEGIC PLAN FOR 2016-2021

Focus – English Ave, Dixie Hills and Browns Mill Types of Repairs Basic carpentry repairs – siding, trim Exterior Painting Roofing Basic yard maintenance and tree removal Handicap accessible ramps Energy efficiency related items such as storm windows and doors, and other energy-related repairs Participant becomes part of the Atlanta Habitat family Free access to Atlanta Habitat’s homeowner education program 2016 Projects: Completed 4, In Process 8 Repair with Kindness Program Critical Repair – Safe, Dry and Accessible

14 Atlanta Habitat # SUSTAINABILITY - ReStore Open to the Public: New and gently used home furnishings, appliances, flooring, lights and construction materials Donations are accepted Volunteer opportunities available Generates revenue to advance Atlanta Habitat’s mission. More than 8,500 tons of material diverted from the landfills

15 Atlanta Habitat # SUSTAINABILITY – GREEN BUILDING GREEN BUILDING – COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO CONSTRUCTION SITE PREPARATION & DEVELOPMENT HOME DESIGN – 8 FT ceilings, engineered floor joist and roof trusses to minimize off-cut waste SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS – Hardi-plank, low VOC paint, metal doors, attics insulation blown, concrete 25% ash, low flow fixtures, oriented standard board floor decking, roof decking and sheathing SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION METHODS - Green Advantage certified build leaders, duct work certified, R-13 insulation, wall builds in warehouse to minimize use of lumber ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE LANDSCAPING CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS GROUND UP UTILIZED ON SITE RECYCLE ALL CARDBOARD, METAL AND CONTAINERS
