2 Learning Intentions By the end of this lesson you will: Know what occupational mime is. Have worked on some exercises to help you develop your mime skills.

3 Occupational Mime Occupational Mime involves miming everyday jobs/tasks e.g. making dinner, taking the dog for a walk, painting a wall etc.

4 Remember your SPECS!! Simple Precise Exaggerated Clear Slow

5 Something to remember As well as your SPECS, you must also consider the: Weight Shape Size Texture Temperature

6 Task In your jotter you should use your knowledge of mime to describe in as much detail as possible the steps you would take when using occupational mime to perform a serve and at least one return in tennis. Points to remember:  SPECS  Weight, Shape, Size, Texture and Temperature  Focus and eye contact  Reactions (including body language and facial expression) In pairs follow the instruction you have written and see if you can mime the start of a tennis match.
