3. In the UK one women is killed every 3 days by a partner or ex-partner Out of every 10 women murdered in India 9 are murdered by their husbands In the United States 1 woman is physically abused every 8 seconds

4. In a maternity hospital in Lima, (Peru) 90% of mothers aged 12 to 16 had been raped by their father, stepfather or close male relative In the United States 50% of rape victims are under 12 years old

5. In South Africa one women is raped every 26 seconds Each year 2 million girls aged between 5 years & 15 years old are trafficked & sold or coerced into prostitution
