2 What is Rotary India Global Dream Rotary India Literacy Mission’s (RILM) aim to achieve ‘Total Literacy & Quality Education’ led to the ‘Rotary India Global Dream – Each One, Reach One, Teach One’ project under its ‘Adult Literacy’ vertical in May 2015. This year, RILM seeks to educate 2,00,000 adults as part of this initiative. 2 Rotary India Global Dream -- Leave no adult illiterate

3  School students of classes VI to XII to get themselves registered on www.rotaryindiaglobaldream.org as volunteer teachers (check slide 5 for details).  Each student volunteer teacher to identify an adult non-literate, who is above 15 years of age.  Each student volunteer is provided with a customised toolkit, in a language acceptable to both the adult learner as well as the student volunteer.  Each student volunteer should familiarize themselves with the toolkit before he/she starts imparting the lessons to the adult learners. 4  Each student volunteer to fix the time and date with the adult learner so as to invest 30-45 minutes each day over a minimum period of 45-60 days to make the adult functionally literate.  Each student volunteer should prepare a scrapbook detailing his/her experience and upload it on the Rotary India Global Dream website, www.rotaryindiaglobaldream.orgwww.rotaryindiaglobaldream.org.  Ensure that the adult neo-literate appears for the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) examination, which will certify the learner as literate. 5  Identify an adult non-literate & obtain his/her details.  You would require your own email-id or you can seek permission from your parents to access theirs.  Visit the www.rotaryindiaglobaldream.org and click on the ‘Volunteer Registration’ tab.  Fill up the ‘Student Volunteer Registration Form’.  You will receive a confirmation email with an username and password, which you can use later to upload the scrapbook.
