11 Ohio Pharmacy Technician Law/Rules  Effective April 8, 2009: A “qualified” pharmacy technician means a person who pharmacy technician means a person who is under the supervision of a pharmacist and to is under the supervision of a pharmacist and to whom all the following apply: whom all the following apply:  Be at least 18 years of age  Possess a high school diploma  Pass a criminal records check  Pass a competency exam approved by the OHBOP

13 National Healthcareer Association National Healthcareer Association Examination for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (EXCPT)  ExCPT Examination contains 110 questions in three job function areas. 100 questions are graded. Two hour exam.  Requirements:  High school diploma or GED  No felony conviction, or crime related to controlled substances  Examination fee: $105

14 National Pharmacy Technician Certification Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)  http://www.ptcb.org  The PTCB Examination contains 90 questions in three job function areas. 80 questions are graded.  Requirements:  High school diploma or its equivalent  No felony conviction  The examination fee is $129.00
