Quick preparatory – Spring semester before graduation Course content & Lesson Plans Prepared No formal training for Educators/ Facilitators OUR RECOMMENDATION IS TO IMPLEMENT THE PROGRAM DURING A HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR’S SPRING SEMESTER JUST PRIOR TO GRADUATION. THIS WAY, THE MATERIAL IS FRESH ON THE STUDENT’S MIND WHEN HE OR SHE GOES TO WORK OR SITS FOR THE NATIONAL PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATION EXAM. The course can be expanded over an entire school year if necessary. Some educators add additional curriculum or incorporate clinicals for their students. SINCE THE COURSE IS PRE-CREATED, THE EDUCATOR DOES NOT NEED A PHARMACY BACKGROUND TO TEACH THE COURSE. THE TRAINING FOR THE EDUCATOR/FACILITATOR IS AS SIMPLE AS WATCHING A TWENTY MINUTE VIDEO AND FREE OF CHARGE. NO ON-SITE VISITS ARE NECESSARY. The Educator that is facilitating the program has a minimal amount of work involved. As a facilitator, they may tightly or loosely control the progress of the students. All quizzes, tests, Study Aids, and Exams are graded automatically and the facilitator has access to view performance of all completed tests in detail.

11 The Educator Side Educator’s resources are complimentary and program includes Lesson Plans and a printable E-Book (“LearnFiles”) All of the educator’s resources from PassAssured are complimentary, including detailed lesson plans. Every year an order is placed the educator receives a complimentary student use program. Each of the videos in the six main sections of our program have what we call “Learn Files”, or a printable e-book for the students and educator to use for notes and study reference. The Learn Files contain content that is covered in the associated video, as well as providing additional information about the topic at hand.

The Student Side Printable files, the “Learn Files”, is the textbook no additional purchase necessary Each of the subsection videos in the program contain printable notes or “Learn Files.” If you print these out for each student the notes will fill up a 2 inch 3 ring binder. So as part of the class supply list you may ask students to bring a ream of paper, a binder, and dividers.

Fee: $129 Requirements: High school diploma or its equivalent Full disclosure of criminal actions PTCB Exam: 90 Questions (80 scored) One hour and fifty minutes allotted time After students complete the PassAssured course and graduate high school they can take the PTCB Exam. Currently the Texas State Board of Pharmacy only recognizes the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam. We are avidly trying to change that. Texas needs to accept the ExCPT Exam as another certifying exam. The exam is $129 and you must be a high school graduate or have your GED
