2 The goal of the Eagan Wave Soccer Club is to offer the best training, best development, and best experience to every player and family in the program. We strive to be an elite community club that provides a positive soccer experience for players of all levels.

4 Switch from Aug-July to Jan-Dec Every youth soccer player across the country will experience the transition New Birth-Year Team Formation Every youth soccer organization will comply with the changes Not an EWSC or MYSA decision

5 All players trying out for EWSC must complete the online registration and pay the $75.00 registration fee Tryouts start on Thursday July, 14th and run through Saturday July, 30 th Once teams are posted you have 48 hours to accept or decline your spot on the team After 48 hours of team posting you will be charged the rest of the registration fee and are locked in with EWSC for the 2016-17 season All tryouts will be held at Lexington/Diffley fields. Please show-up 30 minutes early to check- in EWSC will NOT be ordering new uniforms for the 2016-17 season. Only new players to the club will you have to purchase a uniform in 2016-17

9 It is very important for every player to attend tryouts at their appropriate age group Attendance Coach evaluation and team ranking Coach Player assessment at tryouts and at training/games throughout the year Player Technical, Tactical, Athletic, Psychological Individual

10 Technical Dribbling skills Passing and receiving Finishing Tactical Individual tactics Team tactics Game tactics Athletic Speed and quickness Strength Endurance Athleticism with the ball Psychological Effort Determination/hard work Focus Each player will be ranked from 1-3 in the four categories below. 1 being the lowest, 3 being the highest.

11 6+ Evaluators will score each player Players will be scored 1-3 in four categories We will form teams with players who have similar abilities and skills The DOC and staff will review all of the player scores Scores will be confidential to the DOC

12 Please drop your player off 30 minutes early and pick them up at the end of the tryout No communication with kids, coaches, or evaluators by the field before, during or after the tryout Players invited to tryout at an older age group must attend their age group tryout as well We will do our best to place every player on a team for the summer season Encourage your player to play with confidence and to have fun – always try to stay positive

15 There will be a top team at every age group U9-U19 U9-U12 we will do our best to form two competitive top teams In the summer season expect to participate 3-4 local tournaments Out of state tournaments are encouraged U15+ 1-2 out of state tournaments (showcase) Academy EWSC Training January-March – highly encouraged for all players Elite Feet training offered year around to all players in the program

16 January through March all players in the club at no additional cost includes: Girls Academy Training: Pool training 1 night a week Boys Academy Training: Pool training 1 night a week Academy Goal Keeper Training: 1-2 nights a weekSaturday Play Dates: Game day - with a focus of development Friday Night Lights: Over 200 players in attendance in 2016Futsal Academy Training: Technical ball training in a gym

17 Premier/C1 Level 95% C2 Level 85% C3 Level 70% Negative experience for all when the team has low attendance/commitment The commitment level needs to be improve across the club in 2017 Any conflicts should be communicated and marked on TeamSnap Must attend all training sessions and games the team schedules EWSC encourages multiple sport athletes to play soccer 100% commitment to soccer team in March if playing another sport

18 Coach assignments will be released for all of the teams ASAP – the website will be updated as we lock in coaches for next season Paid coaches for every team in the club from U9-U19 Interview and meeting with every coach before hiring them and assigning them to a team IMPORTANT: Complete 2016 end of the year coach survey to help improve and build an elite coaching staff at EWSC
