 The point at which a solution can dissolve no more! The sugar will no longer dissolve into the water. The water is saturated and full of sugar.

 to weaken the strength, flavor, or brilliance of a solution by adding more water. Lemons are very strong. When squeezed into water, we can make a tasty drink! The water dilutes the lemons.

 Try leaving the salt water solution out in a warm sunny window for several days to a week so that the water can evaporate from the petri dish.  What do you think will happen?  Was this the best way to separate your salt water solution?

Did you know the ocean is full of salt. The ocean is an example of a salt water solution.

If the water in the ocean evaporated away, the salt would be left behind. Why would the salt be left?
