3. What I learned from edu 684  In EDU 684 I learned about the different styles of leadership and how vital stakeholder engagement is when creating a new vision. I also learned my personal leadership style is situational leadership and the extent of shared leadership varies from school to school. For example; some principles may allow faculty to form leadership teams which involves administrators and teachers meeting to discuss certain issues and topics. Others may allow teachers who are experts in content areas to make curricular adjusts and accommodations to best suit the needs for the students.

4. Hopes/Goals for EDU 687  After taking this class I hope to have a better understanding of how to create a positive learning environment for our students. As a result, students will feel more comfortable, achieve higher grades and enjoy the process of learning.

5. Method  One strategy I plan to use in order to help me achieve in this course is to eliminate procrastination. Its important when taking online classes that I know what and how to prioritize. If I have a paper or assignment due Monday, don’t wait until the day before it’s due to start.  Establish a routine: I have discovered its much easier to complete discussion posts and assignments when you include homework in your everyday routine. 6. Why School Leadership?  I understand without proper guidance and great parents to keep me on the right path there's no telling where I would be today. I feel like its my obligation to find a way to impact today's youth, what better way than through education. Whether its helping a student get to college or simply stay in school and get their diploma I hope to help students not only achieve, but surpass their goals. With my interests in sports, business, and education the position I hope to have in the future is a high school Athletic Director. I believe that being an Athletic Director would allow me to effect the youth on a larger scale. Earning a Masters degree would not only allow me to make a difference in the school but hopefully the community as a whole.
