6 Math We will cover four critical areas in math:  Addition and Subtraction  Numbers and Operations in Base Ten  Measurement and Data  Geometry The math program being used is from the same publishers as our reading series. You will be able to access information on Think Central. I have more information on my district website.

10 First Quarter Conference We will have a parent-teacher conference to discuss your child’s progress. There is a sign-up sheet on the back table.

11 Classroom Management

12 Rules Walk at all times. One person speaks at a time. Use your inside voice. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.

13 Rewards and Consequences

14 Students collect paper “whale done” tickets to trade in on Fridays for prizes. The more tickets you are able to gather, the more prizes you are able to buy.

15 Tickets can be taken away also! If a student is asked to give the teacher a ticket, it will be thrown away. Students can keep their tickets by following the rules, doing their homework and being kind!
