1. The Effects of High Quality Early Childhood Education

2. Area of Focus The purpose of this study is to identify what impact high quality early childhood education programs have on a child’s readiness to enter Kindergarten. Once these areas are identified, another outcome of this study is to provide Kindergarten teachers the tools and resources needed to face the challenges presented to them as a result of children entering the classroom having a wide range of early childhood education experiences.

3. Research Questions What does the curriculum cover at various early childhood education center? Do children who attend high quality early childhood education centers enter school with more academic knowledge than other children? Do students who attend high quality early childhood education centers handle social situations better than children who did not?

6. Timeline July: Parent Surveys ECE Teacher and Center Survey August Entrance Exam November Student Report Card Grades Kindergarten Teacher Surveys It will be requested that surveys be completed and returned within two weeks

7. Intervention Taking a look at the information that has been gathered, we will find the best way to teach all children equally.
