COMMUNITY EVENT JALEELA MUHAMMAD PATRICIA NEELY EDU620 MEETING INDIVIDUAL STUDENT NEEDS WITH TECHNOLOGY TECH WORLD DISTRICT EDUCATOR VIEWPOINT

AUDIENCE AND INFORMATION AUDIENCE ATTENTION GRABBERS SUCH AS FLYERS AND BANNERS EXAMPLES OF DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGY AND PROGRAMS MUSIC AND REFRESHMENTS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM PROMOTES DIVERSITY IN LEARNING THE EVOLUTION OF TECHNOLOGY HAS IMPACTED TEACHING AND LEARNING BY: INCREASED CLASSROOM ACCESSIBILITIES EXPANDED AUDIENCE MEETING THE NEEDS OF ALL LEARNERS TECHNOLOGY HAS ADVANCED EDUCATION IN MANY WAYS SUCH AS COMMUNICATION, USE OF GATHERING INFORMATION, EVEN WAYS TO LEARN. WHEN YOU CHANGE THE THINKING YOU CAN CHANGE THE SOLUTION. RAJ DHINGRA(2012) PROMOTES ACTIVE LEARNING AND POSITIVE BEHAVIOR ACCORDING TO JANE MCGONIGAL “USING GAMES IN THE CLASSROOM HAS ALLOWED STUDENTS TO DEVELOP A SENSE OF OPTIMISM” (TEDTALK,2010)

DEMONSTRATE UDL WILL BE DEMONSTRATED BY USING VIDEOS MODELING UDL IN ACTION USING A SAMPLE INSTRUCTIONAL PLAN

DIFFERENTIATION UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING IS BASED OFF MEETING THE NEEDS OF ALL THE LEARNERS THROUGH CAREFUL GUIDANCE THROUGH LESSON PLANNING SO THAT EVERY CHILD IS ABLE TO LEARN WITH MAKING ACCOMODATIONS. READINGS MENTION “ALTHOUGH SOME STUDENTS STRUGGLE TO UNDERSTAND THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF MATH, THE DEVELOPMENT OF MATH KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IS IMPORTANT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CRITICAL AND ANALYTICAL THINKING SKILLS AND PROVIDES THE TOOLS NECESSARY FOR MANY CAREERS” (EDYBUM, 2013). PREPARING AHEAD OR HAVING OTHER LEARNERS IN MIND HAS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM BUT A SOLUTION TO FIGURING OUT HOW EVERYBODY CAN LEARN 1 CONCEPT ON DIFFERENT LEVELS. MY LESSON SERVES AS MOTIVATION FOR LEARNERS BY PROMOTING ACTIVE LEARNING BASED OFF STUDENTS INTEREST. MOST OF THE CHILDREN LIKE MANIPULATING SMALL TOYS AND PUTTING THEM INTO MATERIALS AS WELL AS MAKING ITEMS SUPPORTIVE OF PRETEND PLAY. ACCORDING TO DALTON “BY IMPLEMENTING UDL CORE PRINCIPLES, VARIATION IN ASSESSMENT METHODS, FORMATS, SCOPE/RANGE/LEVEL, PRODUCT/OUTCOME, AND INSTRUCTOR FEEDBACK CAN SUPPORT MORE AUTHENTIC AND, LIKELY, MORE ACCURATE ASSESSMENT RESULTS FOR YOUNG CHILDREN” (2012). THE ITEMS THAT ARE USED BY MANY STUDENTS WERE INCORPORATED INTO THE ACTIVITY SO THAT THEY STUDENTS HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO USE THESE ITEMS IN EDUCATIONAL WAYS.

INTERACTION ATTENDEES WILL BE ABLE TO INTERACT IN THE STATION BY.. PLAYING GAMES THAT WILL BE PRESENTED INTRODUCED TO DIFFERENT TECHNOLOGY THAT WILL BENEFIT IN THE CLASSROOMS SEE EXAMPLES OF THE IMPACT TECHNOLOGY WILL HAVE FOR STUDENTS PRE-K TO 12 PEOPLE NEED TO SEE WHAT THEY ARE SPENDING THEIR MONEY ON IN ORDER TO CONSIDER FUNDING PERSPECTIVE PROJECTS. INTRODUCING AND PROVING THE IMPORTANCE OF TECHNOLOGY WILL ALLOW ATTENDEES TO TO EXPERIENCE WHAT THE CHILDREN WILL EXPERIENCE. HAVING THAT ACTIVE EXPERIENCE AS WELL AS EXPLANATION WILL MORE LIKELY CAPTIVATE AND MOTIVATE THE COMMUNITY AND DONORS TO PROVIDE FUNDING.

MISSION BELIEF AND GOALS MISSION THE MISSION OF CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION IS TO INSPIRE STUDENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL CITIZENS, WORKERS, AND LEADERS IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY. BELIEF WE BELIEVE STUDENTS SHOULD NEVER BE LIMITED WITHIN EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT. CHILDREN CAN LEARN AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO LEARN GOALS STUDENTS WORKING APART OF A TEAM AS WELL AS INDEPENDENTLY THINKING CREATIVELY SOLVING PROBLEMS USING TECHNOLOGY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS

PROGRAM OFFERINGS COURSES THAT EXPAND FROM COOKING ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY NURSING GRAPHIC ARTS POLICE WORK CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING COMPUTER SOFTWARE

TECHNOLOGY AND 21 ST CENTURY SKILLS ENGINEERING COURSE GAIN LIFE AND CAREER SKILLS ACCORDING TO 21 ST CENTURY SKILLS INFORMATION, MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY SKILLS LITERACY OUTCOMES THROUGH FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT STUDENTS WILL BE PREPARE WITH BOOK WORK AS WELL AS HANDS ON WORK THROUGH USE OF CAREFUL LESSON PLANNING

TOOLS AND INTERACTION COMPUTERS AND TABLETS WILL BE THE MAIN TECHNICAL DEVICE USED THROUGHOUT TO ENGAGE STUDENTS IN THE LEARNING PROCESS. IN THE STATION ATTENDEES WILL BE ABLE TO USE DIFFERENT SOFTWARE AND ALSO HAVE A GLIMPSE FROM STUDENTS PERSPECTIVES OF HOW TECHNOLOGY HAS BENEFITED THEM IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

NEW TECHNOLOGY SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS WILL BENEFIT CREATING ENJOYABLE ASPECTS OF LEARNING WIDER ACCESS TO INFORMATION PROTECT ENVIRONMENT BY DECREASING PAPER OUTPUT PREPARES STUDENTS FOR THE FUTURE
