3 Informal/personal letter First write the name of the place into the right top corner Then drop down one line and write the date

4 The opening phrase (avafraas) Drop down one line and write dear by the left hand margin The opening must be followed by the name, who is the letter to The name can be followed by a comma

5 First paragraph (avalause) Introduction Giving reasons for writing Saying thank you for the previous letter

6 Next paragraphs Often about the recent changes in the writer´s life The number of the paragraphs depends on the task Start every new topic with the new paragraph

7 Conclusion (lõpulause) You can use Please write soon I´m looking forward to your letter I´m looking forward to hearing from you soon

8 Closing phrase (lõpufraas) Depends on the writer Neutral – Best wishes, All the best, Yours, Take care Close relations – Love, Lots of love Male mates – From NB! Closing phrase is followed by a comma only if the opening phrase was followed by it Finally, drop down one line and sign your name
