2 Learning outcomes  By the end of this session the student will be able to:  Identify level of consciousness  Practice taken respiration &pulse properly  Explain normal range of respiration &pulse

3 Introduction  Vital sign refers to that which is vital to the continuation of life.  In emergency there are five specific vital commonly observe & measure (Respiration, pulse,blood pressure,skin sign & pupils)

4 Level of consciousness  Commonly evaluated by using the AVPU scale:  A - mean ….Alert  V- mean….Verbal,responsiveness to verbal stimuli  P- mean…..Pain,responsive only to painful stimuli  U- mean…Unresponsive,unconscious or completely Unresponsive

5 Respiration  Is the act or process of breathing and in(inhaling ) and out (exhaling)
