NH VOAD TODAY  March 31, 2009:NH VOAD Conference  Identified Needs: VOAD Structure  Start with a solid mission statement and the rest will fall into place.  Create committees so that members can organize themselves  VolunteerNH is an advantage because it already acts as a liaison between the state and VOAD members  An incident command center should be developed for the VOAD and it’s members  Establish committees for recruitment broken into categories, business, veterans etc  Continue to support and establish COADs  Ensure each community has an updated disaster plan  Pre-identify vulnerable populations before disasters

Who Can Be A VOAD Partner?  Community Based Organizations  Community Action Programs, American Red Cross, United Way  Faith Based Organizations  Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, NH Catholic Charities  Non-Profits  Volunteer NH, Habitat for Humanity  Individual Churches  Bedford Community Church, Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Church  Private Sector  Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot  Any organization that has the willingness and capacity to volunteer their RESOURCES or people
