2 Introduction Farming, or agriculture, is the growing of crops and the raising of animals. In the UK, many different crops are grown and a variety of animals are raised.

3 Why do we have to learn about farming?
We must learn about farming because farm land takes up the largest amount of land in the UK. It is a massive industry and it was vital to the development of the UK.

Write down all the different types of farming you can think of (1 min)

5 Aims of this lesson. To learn that farming is a system of inputs, processes and outputs. To learn the different types of farming in the UK To learn how different land is used for different farming.
