Example a) Polyesters They are versatile, inexpensive used extensively with glass-fibre reinforcement for components (such as strong tanks, pipes, boat,...... etc). b) Epoxies They are preferred to polyesters in application where their superior mechanical properties are needed.

3. ADVANTAGE 1.Low viscosity prior to cross-linking, facilitates thorough wetting of reinforcement by the polymers 2.Economical forming is possible for large components 3.High softening point can be achieved with moderate cost.

4. THERMOPLASTIC example a) Sime-crystalline polymers polypropylene. b) Nylon. Advantage of these polymer over thermoset, 1.That it can be formed by normal injection moulding or extrusion techniques. 2.Low cost process especially for large quantities components
