Communication/ Community Involvement Enhance communication and collaboration among adult education staff, K-12 staff, district and community members and institutions, creating a focused effort designed to promote an increase in both the presence and the value of the Newport-Mesa Adult Education Program.

21. Curriculum Provide a challenging, interesting, meaningful and sequential curriculum, including appropriate assessments, to meet the needs of the diverse adult learner population.

23. Professional Growth Provide the necessary training and technical assistance to the adult education staff and administrators to encourage the integration of technology into curriculum and instruction, and overall tech proficiency.

24. Accountability Data From Fall 04-05 school year to Fall 07-08 school year, we nearly doubled our average per student hourly attendance from 54 to 100 average hours of attendance per student. In all seven levels of ESL, our students have performed above the California performance goal for the past three consecutive years. During the 2006-07 school year, 33 adult education students received a high school diploma or successfully passed the GED, an increase of 10 students when compared to 2005-06.
