3. How does ERES participate in Title I? a comprehensive school reform model designed to generate high levels of academic achievement in core content areas for all students, especially those who are not mastering state academic standards.

4. Schoolwide Program Requirements This schoolwide program requires that a school: Meet a 35%-40% poverty threshold (APS requirement); Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment; Identify and commit to specific goals and strategies that address the identified needs; Create a comprehensive plan, which includes the 18 Implementation components; and Conduct an annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the schoolwide program and revise the plan as necessary.

6. Requirements to Keep in Mind... Schoolwide programs are not relieved of requirements relating to health; safety; civil rights; student and parental participation and involvement; services to private school children; maintenance of effort; comparability of services; or distribution/receipt of funds to SEAs or LEAs.

Coordination and Integration – reduction in curricular and instructional fragmentation. Accountability – clear and coordinated; all students are responsible for achieving the same high standards.
