J.N.V.s the schools with a purpose Our Late Prime Minister Mr. Rajeev Gandhi had a desire to set up certain schools in India on the pattern of famous residential school Doon Public School where he got his education. He wanted the talented rural students of India to have all facilities for their all round development so these schools were started and an all India level test is conducted in every district for class- Vth students for getting admission in J.N.V. The underprivileged sections of society can now hope to provide education to their children irrespective of the expenditure. The Central Government of India gives funds to all J.N.V.s and all facilities have been provided to the children.

Our motto Since our Government spends a lot of money on J.N.V.s we have to come up to the expectations of our elders. Our motto is “Come to learn and go to serve” and we have to work very hard for it. We have to give best results and perform well in all spheres of life. In this competitive world only the fittest can survive.

Our Surroundings We live 40 kms away from nearby city Bhiwani in Haryana India. You might have heard about Lucy Gray the nature- child of William Wordsworth. We may be compared to her as we also live amidst nature far away from the noisy city. We have a peaceful surrounding that is congenial for learning.

Our Class Our Class Hello we are the girls of 6 class. We have 8 periods in a day but you must know that it’s not over. We have an afternoon study and an evening study also besides our Academic hours. We are busy all day long. Hello we are the girls of 6 class. 5 We are energetic indeed Hello friends we are class- 6 th boys. We have a busy schedule but we are energetic and a little bit naughty too as all boys are! But we have to obey our teachers. 6 We want to participate in every activity Although we live in a remote area cut off from the main stream but we find out ways to keep in touch with outsiders too. We are contributing in many projects according to our capacities. We know little English but it is not a hindrance in our way. We want to learn from others whatever we can.

Life is always on move Our tight schedule ever keeps us fit. Since we came in this residential school,we have become more independent as we have to do all our works ourselves. We help to keep our campus clean. Our tight schedule ever keeps us fit. Since we came in this residential school,we have become more independent as we have to do all our works ourselves. 8 We keep smiling We enjoy living in hostels with our friends as this helps us to become social and amiable. We girls are more studious compared to boys. We are eighth class girls, our uniform is slightly different from other classes as this year we were not issued new uniforms. 9 We enjoy reading books To tell you the truth we had no interest in learning English a few years back and if you see our Hindi teacher you would probably know its reason! All students are so scared of her that they leave reading other subjects’ books at the sight of her. Now we have understood the real value of learning English language. 10 We have to work in vacations too! We stay in hostels for 9 months and for 3 months we live with our family. There too we have no rest as we have to do a lot of homework. We all are interested in computers so at home also we pursue our interest.

Our Temple You may be knowing that Indians are generally religious. In our area there is no such thing but it’s good to pray to God when we are in distress or if we want to ask for God’s favour during examinations. You may see boys praying God so earnestly to bless them so that they might pass in exams. We have a temple in our way to Academic building and everyday we bow down in reverence. 12 Teachers are like our parents We live in hostels since we are in class- 6 th up to 12 th class. We develop close relationship with our teachers as we are with them for 24 hours. Even we often argue with them or irritate them but it’s due to our affection and sense of belongingness. They have become like our guardians.
