TThe study of the properties of the oceans WWaves, tides, temperature zones, salinity(salt content), Ocean life (Marine Biology) CCareers OOceanographer – studies the physical aspects of the oceans MMarine Biologist – studies ocean life

 Geology is the primary Earth science.  The word means "study of the Earth".  Geology deals with the composition of Earth materials (rocks and minerals), Fossils, Earth structures (MTNS), and Earth processes (Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions.  Geologists search for fuels and minerals, study natural hazards, and work to protect Earth's environment.

 Geologist – studies the layers of the earth (solid and liquid)  Paleantologist – study of the history and life on earth.  Petrologist – study of the origin of rocks  (look for oil)  Volcanologist – study of volcanoes  Seismologist – study of Earthquake waves.

SStudy of the universe and outer space MMoon, planets, stars, Galaxies MMeteorites and Asteroids CCareers AAstronomer, physicist, Astronaut ** Meteor pic – struck Peru in 2007 (created crater 30 meters wide)

TThe study of the atmosphere and how processes in the atmosphere determine Earth's weather and climate. CClimate change SStorms CCareers MMeteorologist SStorm Chaser
