2 Introduction  The purpose of the handbook is to create a guide for emergency response agencies to aid them in an event of a chemical disaster  We are to interpolate GIS data using ArcGIS and Cameofm to build a database and reference maps of chemical facilities and include easiest routes to facilities in case of an emergency  Maps will show EHS and H2S carrying chemical facilities in DeWitt County  The scope of the project remains in DeWitt county and has not changed since the project proposal 2 of 9

3 Tasks Completed Tasks 1) Data Collection and Software Downloads - We obtained data from  Texas Department of State Health Services, Texas State Data Center website, United States Census Bureau.  This data included the TIGER line files, Tier II data, roads, county and city boundaries, rivers, lakes, schools, and more.  The software downloaded was the entire CAMEO Suite, Marplot, and Aloha. 2) Project Proposal Writing – Response to RFP 3 of 9

4 Tasks Continued Current Tasks 1) Data Analysis:  Interpretation of data collected.  Working on creating buffers and roadblocks around each of the facilities. 4 of 9

6 Tasks Continued Future Tasks: 1)Design of Final Maps – Design readable maps showing chemical facilities, any and all chemicals on the property along with any analysis done on the facilities. 2)Create Final Power Point and Presentation of the Final Project - show details of final copy of Emergency Handbook before delivery. 6 of 9

7 Timeline *= Current date, as of PowerPoint presentation. =Change in timeline. As of now our project is up to date and on track with our timeline. We will need an extra week to work on our analysis of the data. 7 of 9

8 Deliverables  At the time of completion, South Texas Emergency Consulting will provide.pdf documents of the Chemical Release Quick Reference Guide to DeWitt County for emergency response organizations in the county. We will also provide hard copies of the reference guide to be distributed to the response agencies and a CD containing:  Excel spreadsheets with facility and contact data  All Shapefiles  Metadata .pdf documents  Power Point presentation 8 of 9

9 Conclusion We are satisfactorily on track with the project. We needed and extra week for data analysis. The Timeline reflects this change. From here on out the schedule will be maintained. To finish, we need to make some aesthetically pleasing maps and turn over our final deliverables to the client. Any Questions? 9 of 9
