Production of Solar Energy Solar energy is energy from the sun and it is easily harnessed with the use of solar panels How it works is solar panels are heated by light energy and that heat causes atoms to release electrons. Then a metal rod collects the electrons, creating an electric current that can go anywhere.

3. How the energy is transported Since it was converted to electrical energy it can be transported by the power grid. Or if the building has solar panels built in they can just wire then to the electrical circuit.

4. How the energy can be used The energy can be used just by accessing the electrical grid like plugging things into an outlet at home or anywhere that allows the user to access the electrical grid.
