3 What are Usage Reports Perfecto Mobile collects records of all activity in the CQ Lab Who accesses a device and When? Which device was accessed? How long was the device accessed for?

6 Device Usage Report – Raw Data Example: Queried Device Usage Report Start date: 11.01.14 to End date: 3.30.15 The output is over 3000 lines of raw data! Imagine how many different ways we can analyze this data?!

7 Before you can begin to create reports…. Create 3 additional columns in the raw data output file: Month Full Name Device Name This will make it easier to collect all of the relevant details about the user, device and monthly trend of usage for both.

8 All Pivot Tables are Created Equal To Begin: 1.Highlight the data table (not the entire spreadsheet) 2.Click on Pivot Table

9 Pivot Tables Confirm that the data table range is correct. It is recommended to always create the table in a New Worksheet. Choose the fields that you want to use as your criteria and off you go!

12 Total Usage by User (Top Users)

13 Top Users – Monthly Trend Testers 1 and 2 increased usage at the end of the quarter, whereas Tester 4 and John Cook’s usage peaked at the beginning of the quarter….these could be tied to project releases.

14 Top Devices Here you can see all of the top devices, by hours used, for the period of time that was queried. By adding ‘Month’ in the Column field of the Pivot table, you can see the Monthly trend….(click Next).

15 Monthly Device Usage (in Hours) In this report, we see that the top device usage appears to be significantly with Apple devices. In the next report, we can drill down to OS to see definitively.

20 Summary In the 4 examples that we provided, we were able to see total usage for a single time frame chosen and we were able to convert it into monthly trends. Questions that these reports can answer: Do I have enough devices to support the usage of my distributed teams? Does the inventory of devices need to be refreshed? Which users / teams are utilizing the CQ Lab the most? Do they need additional resources provided to them? What is the best way to schedule releases around CQ Lab availability between distributed teams? Assure that your usage matches Market devices, your testing, and your customer needs.
