5. SHRM Foundation – exceeded our goal So far this year we have raised $1400 for the SHRM Foundation. This exceeds our goal of $1000. Thank you to all NOARK Members for your generous donation!

6. SHRM Foundation The SHRM Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Mission: The SHRM Foundation maximizes the impact of the HR profession on organizational decision-making and performance by promoting innovation, education, research, and the use of research-based knowledge.

7. With your support, the SHRM Foundation has: Funded more than $500,000 in research grants for 2008. Produced the Efficient Practice Guidelines series, which makes research findings easily accessible to HR parishioners. Awarded $100,000 in education and certification scholarships. Created a series of educational DVDs for SHRM chapters and classroom use. Led a major research project to explore the emerging human capital issues facing senior HR leaders.
