1. Classroom Expectations Mrs. Schaffer 6 th Grade Science

2. Entering and Leaving the Classroom  Please use the correct door to help control the flow of traffic.  If you need to use the restroom:  Try and wait until there is a break  Fill out agenda book and get initialed  Sign out on the clipboard  To get a drink:  Ask and take a Schaffer pass

3. Book  Textbook does not need to be covered.  You will get to keep your textbook at the end of the year.  You can write in your book.  There is an online version of your book you can access from any computer.

4. Supplies  Bring your book to class everyday.  Bring your science binder to class everyday.  Notebook paper  Notecards can be kept in your locker until needed.  Art supplies can be kept in your locker until needed.  Chromebook should be charged.

5. Expectations  Bring science book, binder, homework, and class materials to class.  Upon entering class:  Sharpen pencils  Copy homework into agenda  Complete bellwork  Respect each other and classroom materials.  Work with 100% effort and a positive attitude.

6. Consequences  Verbal Warning  Name on board for 5 days  2 nd Checkmark = 30 minute after school detention with Mrs. Schaffer  If you must return to your locker for supplies, your name will be written on the board.

7. Missing Assignments  If you do not complete a homework assignment, your name will go on the board. If your name is already on the board you will be given a checkmark.  You will need to turn in the assignment promptly in order to not receive additional checkmarks.

8. Absences  Check Mrs. Schaffer’s Moodle page  Many times the class discussion is recorded and will be posted. You can watch the class from home and it’s like you never missed!  Feel free to email me during the day for work  Upon retuning to school:  Check with Mrs. Schaffer for missed work during home base or academic assist.

9. Grading  Tests, quizzes, projects, and final labs will be graded.  Practice labs, classwork, and homework will not be graded.  I do not offer extra credit.
