2 The Elephant & The Blind Men Once upon a time, there lived 6 blind men in a village One day the villagers told them there was an elephant in the village They had no idea what an elephant was so they decided to investigate

3 The 1st man touched the elephant’s leg.“Hey, the elephant is a pillar.” “Oh no! It is like a rope” said the 2 nd man who touched the tail

4 “Oh no! It is like a thick branch of a tree” said the 3 rd man who touched the trunk of the elephant “It is like a big hand fan” said the 4 th man who touched the ear of the elephant

5 “It is like a huge wall” said the 5 th man who touched the side of the elephant “It is like a solid pipe” said the 6 th man who touched the tusk of the elephant

6 They began to argue about the elephant and each man insisted that he was right. They argued until a wise man stopped by and asked them what the matter was. They told him they could not agree about what the elephant was like.

7 The wise man told them that they were all right because each one had come across a different part of the elephant. But they were all partly wrong because they had not touched every part of the elephant.

8 Morale There is some kind of truth in what each person sees. Each person has his or her own perspective based on their experiences.
