3  Writing a thesis can be hard. There are many different types of thesis. A great idea is to use a thesis generator!  If you have a phone, please go to this site (also on my website under Helpful Links).  If you don't, please partner with someone sitting near you that has one. 4  When writing a paragraph, introductions are easy: just the thesis! But when you are writing a longer essay, an intro should be an entire paragraph.  What does a 5 paragraph essay look like? Is that the only type of essay to write?  How can we write an intro?  Example: Intros

5  What do we need in a conclusion? How long should it be? How do we restate the thesis?  Example: Conclusions

6  What do citations look like? How do we cite novels? How do we cite poems?  How do we cite if we don’t have author names or page numbers? Citations

7  Title  Author  Genre  What does it look like in a sentence?  How do we write titles for novels and movies?  How do we write titles for short stories and poems?  Little note: If it goes on a shelf, it needs to be underlined (or italics when typed). If it can’t stand on it’s on, it needs support with quotations. TAG

9  Writing often requires editing before submitting to the audience it is intended for.  Today, you need to revise your freedom paragraphs that you completed on Friday.  Label each of the following:  Intro/Thesis  Conclusion  Two pieces of evidence with citation  POV violations  Formal writing: &, numbers, text speak…etc.  Final copy of the paragraphs are due tomorrow. Revisions
