C ALLED O UT T O S TUDY T OGETHER Psalm 42:1 New Century Version (NCV) 1 As a deer thirsts for streams of water, so I thirst for you, God.

John 7:37-39 New King James Version (NKJV) 37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Psalm 19:8-11 New King James Version (NKJV) 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.

John 17:17 New King James Version (NKJV) 17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. Acts 17:11 New International Version (NIV) 11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. 2 Timothy 2:15 King James Version (KJV) 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

How do we study?  Regular time of reading the Word – Bible Reading Plan  Be willing to mark your Bible up – highlighters, write in it.  Place to take notes of what is interesting to you.  Dictionaries, Strong’s Concordance, other tools. – So many available online you can do amazing things.  BIBLE STUDY – Marydee does an amazing job. Every week!!!  Coming to church regularly to hear the Word of God. The point is to get the Word of God into you so that it can change you to become the living Word of God.

S HARE T HE W ORD O F G OD 1 Peter 3:15-16 New International Version (NIV) 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. Malachi 3:16 New Century Version (NCV) 16 Then those who honored the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened and heard them. The names of those who honored the Lord and respected him were written in his presence in a book to be remembered.
