MDC GreenPrint Initiatives Now, for the first time ever, Miami-Dade County has one roadmap to achieve ambitious and aggressive goals. http://www.miamidade.gov/greenprint/home.asp GreenPrint culminates in the County's first Climate Action Plan. There are 137 separate initiatives outlined in GreenPrint, many of which will directly contribute to a reduction in GHG emissions. It is estimated that these initiatives will result in a reduction of 1.5 million metric tons of GHG emissions and an avoidance of 3.1 million metric tons over the next five years

14. Sustainability Programs MDC is proactively working with neighboring counties in the region to develop sustainable communities.

15. Climate Change Compact The county is a member of the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact. The Compact represents a joint commitment of Broward, MDC, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties to partner in mitigating the causes and adapting to the consequences of climate change. The Regional Climate Action Plan includes: strategies to conserve fuel and promote renewable and alternative fuels. commitments to greenhouse gas emissions reductions and initiatives to achieve those reductions.
