1 Module Review (referred to as Module Evaluation on AQAS) Using the Academic Quality Assurance System (AQAS)

2 An overview The AQAS system is simple to use It holds all modules and includes the module code, title and module tutor The module review template and module descriptor can also be accessed from AQAS All modules are connected to their parent programme(s) In addition to storing your module review you can also save supporting documentation e.g. student feedback The cluster leader will use the module reviews to complete the Programme Evaluation Document (PED) If you find errors or inaccuracies contact your Quality Support Manager (QSM)

3 The Role of the Lead Module Tutor The term Lead Module Tutor (LMT) is used to refer to the person with overall responsibility for the quality of the module The LMT is responsible for uploading the completed module review to AQAS. If you have already completed your module review for 2012/13 contact Faculty Quality Support staff for assistance. NB The MEB Module summary template used at 2013 Exam boards is additional to and not a replacement for Module Review

4 Accessing AQAS Go to http://AQAS.northumbria.ac.uk/http://AQAS.northumbria.ac.uk/ You will then be presented with a home page Then navigate to module review page Use the drop down boxes to assist you to select your module - your name will be the best way to find your own module However if module information has not been updated you may need to select the module Further information can be found here: http://www.northumbria.ac.uk/sd/central/ar/qualitysu pport/review/intrev/ http://www.northumbria.ac.uk/sd/central/ar/qualitysu pport/review/intrev/

6 So once you have found your module….. AQAS enables you to indicate that your module evaluation is in progress To upload your review use the browse button, select the file and press upload to submit for storage When you have finished your module review go back to the module review status box and click on ‘Submit as complete’ Additional information There is a facility to submit no review required e.g. if module has not run If there are multiple deliveries of a module one overarching module review should be completed For information the page indicates the parent programme(s) and cluster leader(s).
